I've got the End of Summer Blues. I was appropriately named because summertime has always been my favorite season of the year. I love basking in the sun, swimming, snow cones and ice cream, late evenings with friends, various trips, 4th of July, camps, no school and less of a schedule! This summer did not disappoint. We were busy, but we had a lot of lazy days too. I can't believe that August is over and YCW starts back next week along with a busier schedule again. I do look forward to cooler fall days.
Here is our August at a glance. We. . .
. . .had fun at Carly's wedding and reception at the Horseshoe Bay resort.
. . . dressed up fancy with cousin Carly.
(Pierson and Ava were in the wedding.)
. . .spent time with aunts and cousins at Carly's Bridal Luncheon.
. . .dug in the sand with "LeviWoll" at Horseshoe Bay.
. . .splashed around at the Eastland Water Park!
. . .read books with Grandma Ruby.
. . .played with friends
. . .enjoyed a late night Rangers game with dad.
. . .visited Julia and the girls in Fort Worth.
. . .started a new Pre-K program called Stepping Stones.
(In this photo with Teacher Sherri, Ava is already
dressed up after just walking in the door.)
. . .enjoyed a wild and windy kick off to the ACU football season!
We are looking forward to what the fall will bring-- two birthdays, a zoo party, new teachers and classrooms, Homecoming, more football, the pumpkin patch, and dressing up for Halloween! (In my next post, I will write about my sweet husband and a surprise birthday trip.)
